Kicking off the Hanoi Hanoi art project series, musician - violinist Trinh Minh Hien will bring the show Hanoi Hanoi - The Winter on December 12 at the Hanoi Drama Theater.

The artist shared: " Hanoi Hanoi is not just music , but an artistic journey telling stories about the city through emotions, where traditional sounds blend with contemporary spirit to make Hanoi appear both old, new, and profound."
In Hanoi Hanoi - The Winter , Trinh Minh Hien does not recreate the original folk music but uses it as a source of inspiration to dialogue with the present. Her music interweaves violin, cello, piano with monochord, two-stringed fiddle, stone zither, and traditional drums, creating a soundscape where tradition meets the world . Each performance is a slice of emotion, from memories of the capital to the breath of Hanoi today.
The program consists of 3 parts: Pink Pink Snow Snow - opens with a solemn greeting to the capital's artistic heritage, where folk melodies are renewed with a contemporary breath. Hanoi Hanoi - also the name of the theme song, reflects the artist's journey of maturity in the heart of the city.
Closing is Winter - a performance portraying Trinh Minh Hien - a free and radiant Gypsy girl, whose passion spreads through every note. She will perform the flamenco piece Gypsy Girl (Le Minh Son) and The Winter from Vivaldi's Four Seasons , two seemingly opposing musical worlds but united in a spirit of freedom and intensity.
Besides director Dang Xuan Truong - who once breathed life into Phuong Linh stage, the program also has the presence of artist Le Thanh Son. During the performance, he will bring 3 new works, which are likened to 3 moments of Hanoi - romantic, sexy and brilliant.
In her role as Music Director, Trinh Minh Hien said she will bring new compositions to the program such as Dong (Lien Nguyen) and Mua Giang Pho Dong (Nguyen Thanh Tuan) - 2 love songs that breathe the breath of the city and love, arranged in the style of blues, jazz, pop and EDM. She wants the younger generation of artists to contribute their voices, so that Hanoi does not only live in nostalgia but also in every beat of life today.
Trinh Minh Hien shared: "I don't want to fly alone on my creative journey, but want to fly with like-minded souls who love Hanoi."
The program has the participation of Meritorious Artist Le Giang, People's Artist Thanh Hoai, cello artist Bui Ha Mien, opera singer Ngo Huong Diep, Xam artist Nguyen Quang Long, and singers Ha Linh, Tuan Nghia, Quynh Thi...
