Commending 444 progressive youths following Uncle Ho's teachings

Learning from Uncle Ho to build a new generation of youth

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy acknowledged and praised the efforts and achievements of 444 advanced youth delegates attending this congress. Each of you is a vivid story of persistent efforts, striving, not afraid of difficulties, hardships, and determination to conquer the peaks. Each of you comes from a different hometown, from very different working positions, but all share a heart burning with passion, enthusiasm, aspiration for creativity, and dedication of youth, are shining examples, prestigious, and have a positive influence on young people.

According to comrade Bui Quang Huy, the Youth Union and the youth of the whole country are deeply aware that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is a sacred responsibility, an endless source of inspiration, a central and continuous task to build a new generation of youth; the future owners of the country who shoulder the mission of "building our country more decent and more beautiful" as his wish.

Comrade Bui Quang Huy shared that studying and following Uncle Ho has become a regular, voluntary activity, an inherent need of many young people; it is concretized in each activity of the Union, especially in building exemplary values ​​for young people, training programs for union members, and political study of union members and young people. There have been many good models and effective ways of studying and following Uncle Ho, creating an environment for young people to practice, strive, mature and contribute to the country.

From the movements and activities of the Union, many young people have been discovered, commended, nurtured and matured. In particular, every 5 years, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organizes to commend young people who follow Uncle Ho's teachings at all levels, spreading advanced models for young people to learn and follow.

“Hopefully, the honors you have today will be the motivation for you to continue to strive to improve yourself and contribute more to your homeland and country. You must continue to study and follow Uncle Ho without stopping. If you have studied well, you must study even better; if you have completed your tasks well, you must complete more tasks,” Comrade Bui Quang Huy emphasized.

According to comrade Bui Quang Huy, since the 14th Congress, our country has entered a new era, an era of striving to build a rich, civilized, prosperous and happy country. The new requirements of revolutionary practice require the Youth Union and each young person to constantly cultivate their qualities and aspirations to contribute, to continue the ideals of previous generations, and to contribute to building the country in the era of striving.

He suggested that in the coming time, all levels of the Youth Union should focus on effectively implementing Conclusion No. 01 of the Politburo, promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style among young people according to the motto: awareness must be correct; content and implementation methods must be appropriate to the target and time; methods must be persistent, creative, continuous and regular; inspection and supervision must be substantial; results must be specific.

“Studying and following Uncle Ho for union members and young people must become a daily task, learning to understand, understanding to follow, then going back and re-evaluating to continue learning. Closely combine studying with following, the contents registered for implementation must be closely linked to the political tasks of the locality and unit”, Comrade Bui Quang Huy expected.

Many practical activities to learn from Uncle Ho

This Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings took place in Ho Chi Minh City in the atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

444 delegates representing the youth of the whole country were selected through many steps, all are typical advanced youth at the provincial level with diverse components: Union - Association - Pioneer cadres, rural and urban youth, civil servants, public employees, workers, students, young scientists - intellectuals, artists, athletes, soldiers, young entrepreneurs...

Delegates attending the congress are between 16 and 35 years old, have good morals, actively participate in Youth Union - Association - Team activities, have achieved excellent results in work and are typical examples in studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings in their localities and units in the period of 2023-2025. In addition, there are initiatives, projects and practical work that have been recognized and commended by all levels.

Within the framework of the congress, delegates also participated in the ceremony to report their achievements to Uncle Ho and award the badge “Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park; visited and experienced typical historical, cultural, economic and social sites of Ho Chi Minh City.

The delegates also visited and presented gifts to Agent Orange victims at Hoa Binh Children's Village (Tu Du Hospital), presented a project on the Saigon River embankment, and held an exhibition and launched the digital museum space "Uncle Ho with the youth".

This congress is held every 5 years, honoring outstanding individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. First held in 2009, after 7 congresses, more than 2,600 typical advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings have been honored nationwide, contributing to the spread of beautiful examples among young people.
