On the afternoon of September 26, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the organization of the 2025 high school graduation exam and prepare for the 2026 high school graduation exam. Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management of the Ministry of Education and Training, also informed about university and college enrollment in 2025.
Mr. Chuong said: "In 2025, there will be 17 admission methods, no more early admission, increase the number of admissions, wishes and admissions. Candidates have many unspecified wishes, the rate of using academic records is quite high."
Specifically, the number of admission methods for universities and colleges in 2025 has 17 methods. Of which, the method of considering by high school graduation exam results in 2025 accounts for 39.1% (lower than in 2024 with 52.18%). In contrast, the admission results by academic records this year account for 42.4% (much higher than last year's rate of 28.86%). Other admission methods only account for 18.5% (not much changed compared to 2024 at 19.96%).
"This year's high school graduation exam scores are different. Candidates are worried about not being admitted, so they use their academic records to consider admission more, leading to a higher admission rate based on academic records," Mr. Chuong added about this change.
