On April 25, the market witnessed an increase in the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and both the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY).
Specifically, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank is 24,948 VND/USD, an increase of 20 VND compared to the morning session on April 24. Based on the amplitude of ±5% compared to the central exchange rate, the ceiling allowed for trading is 26,195 VND/USD, and the floor is 23,701 VND/USD. Meanwhile, the State Bank Exchange kept the reference exchange rate unchanged at 23,732 VND/USD for buying and 26,124 VND/USD for selling.
At the commercial banking sector, as recorded at 8:15 this morning, Vietcombank adjusted the USD exchange rate up by 21 VND for both trading directions, currently at 25,835 - 26,195 VND/USD (buy - sell). At the same time, BIDV also raised the USD exchange rate by 20 VND, listed at 25,830 - 26,190 VND/USD (buy - sell).
Regarding the CNY exchange rate, Vietcombank adjusted the exchange rate up by 3 VND in both buying and selling compared to the morning session of April 24, bringing the exchange rate to 3,517 - 3,630 VND/CNY (buying - selling). At BIDV, the CNY exchange rate increased slightly by 2 VND, currently reaching 3,531 - 3,627 VND/CNY (buying - selling).
