CNN reported on November 10th that US President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate has been hosting numerous visitors over the past 48 hours. These visitors include individuals seeking positions in the new administration or those attempting to influence Trump's appointments. However, tech billionaire Elon Musk is considered the most influential figure in Trump's personnel choices for his second term. The SpaceX owner has appeared at Mar-a-Lago almost daily since Trump's election victory. Musk has had several dinners with Trump and even played golf together on Sunday. Notably, Musk has been present with Trump when the President-elect speaks with world leaders. A prime example is the conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky, where Trump used a speakerphone so Musk could follow the proceedings. President Zelensky reportedly thanked Musk for the Starlink system during this phone call.

As a close associate of Mr. Trump, billionaire Elon Musk's opinions on personnel selection carry significant weight. Besides the President-elect, Musk also has a very good relationship with billionaire Howard Lutnick, who is in charge of personnel during Trump's transition. The SpaceX owner is pushing for Republican Senator Rick Scott to become the Senate Majority Leader. According to CNN sources, Musk is unlikely to take on a "full-time" position in the Trump administration. However, the American tech billionaire still has considerable access and the potential to exert influence from outside.
