The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to resolve the problem of returning the operating route of Trung Nam Wind Power Plant.

According to the report of Trung Nam Wind Power Joint Stock Company, the construction of Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway through Thuan Bac district has cut across the operating route, isolating two wind turbines T38/WT62 and T42/WT64 of Trung Nam Wind Power Plant (Thuan Bac). During the construction of the project, more than 472 m2 of land belonging to Trung Nam Wind Power Joint Stock Company was reclaimed to carry out the construction of the expressway project. Although since 2020, the parties have agreed on a solution to return the operating route for the Plant from Loi Hai - Phuoc Khang overpass to the turbine locations. However, up to now, the Expressway Project has been put into use but the plant's operating route has not been repaired, causing difficulties in accessing and operating the two turbines. There is a risk of damage to the plant, especially in the event of a breakdown, as well as affecting the safety of the power grid system. According to the technical design of the residential access road approved by the Ministry of Transport , the road to be returned to Trung Nam Wind Power Plant is about 400 meters long from the road at the beginning of Loi Hai - Phuoc Khang overpass to the locations of turbines T38 and T42. However, due to the lack of site handover, the construction unit has not been able to implement the project. Through working, Trung Nam Wind Power Joint Stock Company proposed to return the road soon to ensure safe operation of the plant.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the People's Committee of Thuan Bac district to urgently complete the procedures for compensation, site clearance and support for 8 households whose land was recovered. By August 2024 at the latest, the handover of the site must be completed so that the construction unit can carry out the project of restoring the Trung Nam wind power operation road. The Provincial People's Committee will issue a document requesting the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 85 to support and guide the procedures for agreeing on the intersection connection with the North-South Expressway to facilitate the implementation of construction and restoration of the plant's operation road.
