On the morning of April 19, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the construction progress of Bac Lieu Provincial Museum located in Block B and C of Cao Van Lau Theater (Bac Lieu City).
After more than 1 year of construction, the Provincial Museum is urgently completing the interior display items. According to the design, the Provincial Museum has 4 floors displaying topics on: administrative boundaries, natural flora and fauna; Oc Eo culture, cultural space of the 3 ethnic groups Kinh - Khmer - Hoa; history of revolutionary struggle of Bac Lieu and Bac Lieu today.
After inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor and the project construction unit to adjust some typical plants of the province, including adding notes with scientific names and common names for the plants; paying attention to displaying some more artifacts for the cultural space, activities, and costumes of the Kinh and Khmer people. In addition, adding more OCOP products, famous specialties in the Bac Lieu today theme. Especially, completing the display and cleaning of the museum no later than April 24.
The Provincial Museum is a project of Bac Lieu to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The inauguration ceremony of the Provincial Museum will take place on April 26.
