RT reported on December 9th that President Zelensky arrived in London on December 8th and held talks with the leaders of the UK, France, and Germany. During the trip, President Zelensky stated that he would soon submit new proposals for a peace agreement with Russia to US President Donald Trump.
"The U.S. is seeking a compromise, but there are clearly difficult issues related to territory, and no compromise has been reached," President Zelensky told reporters, while once again rejecting one of Russia's key ceasefire terms: the demand for Ukraine to withdraw its troops from areas in Donbass that remain under its control.

"Russia is insisting that we give up the territory. Of course, we don't want to do that, and that's why we are fighting," Zelensky added.
President Zelensky announced that Kyiv had removed anti-Ukraine provisions from the US peace plan. The original US peace proposal reportedly suggested that Donbass and Crimea should be "de facto recognized as belonging to Russia."
US President Donald Trump later announced that the document had been revised with additional contributions from Russia and Ukraine. On December 8th, President Trump said he was "disappointed" with President Zelensky and stated that the Ukrainian leader hadn't even read the latest US proposal.
Speaking during a trip to India last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian forces were making steady progress on the front lines and that Moscow would gain control of the entire Donbass region, whether through military action or diplomatic efforts.
