* Ukraine has expressed its goodwill to the United States, affirming its readiness to sign a planned agreement on strategic mineral exploitation with Washington “at any time”, after the administration of President Donald Trump announced a temporary suspension of military aid to Kiev.
Meanwhile, President Trump said he had received a letter from his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, expressing his "willingness to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer." (Reuters)
* President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the ratification of the Treaty with Russia on ensuring the security of the Union State, thereby completing the internal procedures for ratifying this document.
The Treaty allows for a collective response to unilateral economic and other restrictive measures, and proposes taking countermeasures not only against actual attacks on the Union State, but also against threats of such attacks. (Belta)
* Belarus proposed that the leaders of Russia, the US and Ukraine meet in Minsk for three-way negotiations to resolve the Ukraine conflict. * US President Donald Trump addressed Congress for the first time in his second term, focusing on presenting his vision for the country and the world in the context of the current Washington administration promoting strong policies to implement the "America First" policy.
In his speech, the US leader reviewed the executive orders issued in the first days of his term, affirmed the positive aspects of streamlining the apparatus, tightening immigration, imposing taxes... and outlined an action plan during his term.
