Khao Mang commune has nearly 98% ethnic minority population, mainly the Hmong people, and faces many economic difficulties. Over the past period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has mobilized the people to actively implement regulations on civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals; building happy families and healthy, safe residential areas. As a result, to date, Khao Mang commune has achieved cultural standards in over 77% of families, all 13 villages, and agencies/units.

Over the past five years, the people have contributed more than 250,000 man-days to building rural roads, constructing solidarity houses, and developing infrastructure. Currently, the entire commune has four villages that have achieved the new rural standard. Mr. Vu A Sua, head of Chong La village, shared: “Thanks to the good implementation of regulations on civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, more than 80% of families in Chong La village have achieved the cultural standard and the village has achieved the cultural standard. To date, cleaning up the environment of village roads and alleys and planting flowers along the roadside has become a voluntary activity of every resident here.”
In Minh Luong commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has consistently focused on effectively implementing the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement in all 15 villages and hamlets. To date, the percentage of households meeting the standards of a culturally rich family is over 80.6%, the percentage of culturally rich villages is 86%, and the percentage of happy families is 90%. All villages have performing arts and sports teams; all 15 villages in Minh Luong commune implement village regulations and conventions promoting civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, and eliminate outdated customs and superstitions.

To improve the quality of the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement, Ms. Hoang Thi Tuoi, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Luong commune, said: "In the coming time, the Fatherland Front of the commune will continue to improve the quality of activities of self-governing models in villages and hamlets; effectively implement the "All People Unite to Collect and Process Waste" movement; build exemplary advanced models and set bright examples in emulation movements and campaigns; strive to complete the target of more than 95% of households achieving the title of culturally rich family; 85% of villages achieving the title of cultural village, and the happiness index of people reaching 75% or higher."
In recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels has done a good job of disseminating information and mobilizing the people to implement the criteria for building new rural areas in conjunction with the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement; and disseminating information and mobilizing the people to properly implement village regulations, customs, and rules on civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals, in accordance with the actual situation of each locality.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province continues to implement environmental criteria, collect waste, and ensure a green, clean, and beautiful environment in communes that have been recognized as achieving new rural standards and those registering to achieve new rural standards; integrating environmental protection content into the development of village regulations and community conventions… As a result, the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement has been implemented synchronously and closely linked with the construction of new rural areas throughout the province. The percentage of culturally exemplary families has reached 86%; culturally exemplary villages and residential areas have reached 80%. The province has 37 communes that have achieved new rural standards, 387 villages that have achieved new rural standards, and 533 model villages.

To promote the strength of national unity in implementing the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, stated: In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, concretizing the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement in the annual action program, focusing on promoting propaganda and mobilization of the people to build model residential areas and happy villages; continuing to expand self-governance models, environmental protection models, ensuring security and order, and preserving national cultural identity; The Fatherland Front of the province has done a good job of honoring and rewarding individuals and households with outstanding achievements in contributing to the construction of new rural areas, in order to replicate and create a ripple effect in the community... At the same time, the Fatherland Front of the province has also reformed the organization of the "National Unity Day" (November 18), truly making it a festival for all people, contributing to building cultural life at the grassroots level, promoting the strength of the community, and helping localities complete the new rural development program.
