The role of the Fatherland Front in building cultural life

Implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the "New rural construction program", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province has deployed many specific and practical activities, suitable for each residential area. Thereby, arousing and promoting the strength of the great national solidarity bloc, contributing to the localities completing the new rural construction program.

Khao Mang commune has nearly 98% ethnic minorities, mainly Mong people, economic conditions are still difficult. In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has mobilized people to actively implement regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals; build happy families, healthy and safe residential areas. Therefore, up to now, Khao Mang commune has had more than 77% of families, 13/13 villages and agencies and units meeting cultural standards.

Over the past 5 years, people have also contributed more than 250,000 working days to build rural roads, build solidarity houses, and build infrastructure. Currently, the whole commune has 4 villages that meet new rural standards. Mr. Vu A Sua - Head of Chong La village shared: "Thanks to the good implementation of regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals, currently Chong La village has more than 80% of families meeting cultural standards and cultural village standards. Up to now, cleaning up the environment of village roads, alleys and planting flowers along the roads has become a voluntary activity of every person here".

In Minh Luong commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has always paid attention to effectively implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in 15 villages and hamlets in the area. Up to now, the rate of households meeting the standards of cultural families is over 80.6%, cultural villages are 86%, and happy families are 90%. All villages have art and sports teams; all 15 villages of Minh Luong commune implement village covenants and conventions on civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, and eliminate backward customs and superstitions...

To improve the quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", Ms. Hoang Thi Tuoi - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Luong commune said: "In the coming time, the commune Fatherland Front will continue to improve the quality of activities of self-management models in villages and hamlets; effectively implement the movement "All people unite to collect and treat waste", build advanced typical models and set good examples in emulation movements and campaigns; strive to complete the target of more than 95% of households achieving the title of cultural family; 85% of villages achieving the title of culture, the happiness index of the people reaching 75% or more".

In recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels has done a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to implement the criteria for building new rural areas in association with the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; propagating and mobilizing people to well implement village covenants, conventions and regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals in accordance with the actual situation of each locality.

In addition, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also continues to implement environmental criteria, waste collection, ensuring green, clean and beautiful communes that have been recognized as meeting new rural standards and communes registered to meet new rural standards; incorporating environmental protection content into the construction of village covenants and conventions of residential communities... Thanks to that, up to now, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been deployed synchronously, closely linked with new rural construction throughout the province. The rate of cultural families reached 86%; cultural villages and residential groups reached 80%. The whole province has 37 communes meeting new rural standards, 387 villages meeting new rural standards and 533 model villages.

To promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc in implementing the Movement "The whole people unite to build a cultural life", Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: In the coming time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, concretize the movement "The whole people unite to build a cultural life" in the annual action program, focusing on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to build model residential areas and happy villages; continue to replicate self-management models, environmental protection models, ensure security and order, preserve national cultural identity; Carry out well the work of honoring and rewarding individuals and households with many achievements in contributing to the construction of new rural areas to replicate and create a spreading effect in the community... At the same time, the Provincial Fatherland Front also innovated the organization of "National Great Unity Day" (November 18), truly becoming a festival for all people, contributing to building cultural life at the grassroots level, promoting the strength of the community, helping the locality complete the new rural construction program.
