TPO - Coach Mai Duc Chung hopes that the Lach Tray stands will be covered in red during the confrontation between the Vietnamese women's team and Australia in the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship.

The match will take place at 8pm on August 16 at Lach Tray Stadium. In the final round of the group stage, the Vietnamese women's team defeated Thailand 1-0 with the only goal scored by Thu Thao, thereby entering the semi-finals as the top team in Group A.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will face Australia in the semi-finals, a team that is not easy to play against. Coach Mai Duc Chung said that the Vietnamese women's team achieved good results thanks to the team spirit, discipline, and efforts of the players. Mr. Mai Duc Chung also sent special thanks to the support of Vietnamese fans.

“The atmosphere in the stadium in the past matches reminded me of 2003, also here, the stands were also covered in red, motivating us to win the SEA Games gold medal. I hope that in the next match, this image will reappear so that the team will have more fighting strength,” said coach Mai Duc Chung.
