About Quang Yen cultural heritage

With the theme "Returning to the cultural heritage of Quang Yen", in 2024, the festival will be held on a large scale, in which the highlight is the Ceremony to receive the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Certificate.

Originating from the custom of “Ha dien” and “Thuong dien” ceremonies of the residents of the river island region of Ha Nam , the Xuong dien festival is usually held in the beginning of the sixth lunar month. The festival takes place at Coc communal house and Cua Dinh river - in Phong Coc ward. In addition to the ceremony organized in the traditional way with many unique activities such as: “yet” worship ceremony at Coc communal house; “yet” swimming competition at Cua Dinh river; “Chieu cheo san dinh” cultural exchange; planting and planting contest, photo exhibition, etc.

Preserved by the people of Quang Yen town for hundreds of years, this year's Festival has the theme "Returning to the Quang Yen Cultural Heritage" and received the National Intangible Cultural Heritage certificate. The organization of the Going to the Field Festival and receiving the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Certificate in Quang Yen is an important event of the town to realize Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development"; Resolution No. 20-NQ/TU dated November 27, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "on directions and tasks for 2024" and the working theme of the year "improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture, people rich in Quang Ninh identity".
