The report submitted by Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan to the National Assembly clearly states the policy to implement Resolution 72 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

Funding for implementation is mobilized from many sources, in which the state budget prioritizes spending on target groups with an estimated amount of about 6,000 billion VND per year.

The Government also proposed to exempt basic hospital fees within the scope of health insurance benefits for near-poor households and people aged 75 and over receiving social benefits from 2027, and to pilot the diversification of health insurance packages.
