On October 25, the High-level Opening Session of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, Hanoi Convention, took place at the National Convention Center.
President Luong Cuong presided over the ceremony, along with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and leaders of many countries and international organizations. The President stressed that this is a milestone that opens an era of global cooperation in ensuring cyber security and building a safe, sustainable and humane cyberspace.
The fact that the name “Hanoi” is recorded in the text of the Convention demonstrates the international community’s recognition of Vietnam’s role and contributions in promoting cooperation, shaping the global cyber security order, and affirming Vietnam’s prestige and position in the international arena./.
