
Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong and Airbus Commercial CEO Christian Scherer signed a contract to purchase 100 A321neo aircraft at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Matt Western, Special Envoy of the British Prime Minister , affirmed: “The success of today’s contract demonstrates the values that both parties share – innovation, resilience and mutual respect. This event opens the door for further cooperation between the UK and Vietnam in the coming years, while creating more jobs in North Wales, Derby and across the UK’s aviation supply chain. The order for 100 A321neo aircraft is one of the largest commercial contracts in the history of cooperation between Vietnam and Europe, contributing to promoting bilateral trade and creating more high-quality jobs in the UK and Europe. This contract continues the strategic cooperation between Vietjet and Airbus, bringing the total number of aircraft that Vietjet has ordered to 376 of all types.
Vietjet is currently the fastest growing airline in Asia, pioneering in fleet modernization, green technology and innovative services. The airline is operating more than 150 domestic and international routes with a young, fuel-efficient fleet that meets the region's leading safety standards.
