Vietnam Airlines has a new General Director

The Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines has just decided to appoint Mr. Le Hong Ha as General Director from January 1, 2021.

Mr. Le Hong Ha is currently the Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines , having worked for Vietnam Airlines for 25 years. Mr. Ha was born on February 20, 1972 in Hanoi. In 1993, Mr. Ha graduated from the National Economics University, Faculty of Tourism Business Management (now Faculty of Tourism - Hotel).
Starting his career at Vietnam Airlines in 1994, Mr. Ha has held many positions related to passenger marketing and was appointed Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines in 2012, also the youngest leader of the Corporation to hold this position.
From 2018 to present, Mr. Ha has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of Skypec Aviation Fuel Company Limited. In August 2020, Mr. Ha was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines.
Vietnam Airlines is also rejuvenating its leadership team, electing and adding many 7x leaders to the board of directors. Previously, at the annual general meeting of Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa was elected to the position of Chairman of Vietnam Airlines to replace Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh, who retired under the regime. Mr. Hoa was born in 1972 in Da Nang , and has a master's degree in aviation safety.
At the extraordinary shareholders' meeting held on December 29, the meeting approved the plan to supplement the position of representative of state capital and introduce Mr. Le Truong Giang, Chief of Office of Vietnam Airlines, to hold the position of Board of Directors.
Mr. Duong Tri Thanh, member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Airlines, was also unanimously approved by the congress to resign from his position as member of the Board of Directors.
