Vietnam Airlines joins the Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines

Vietnam Airlines has officially joined the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA). The event affirms Vietnam Airlines' new step in expanding international cooperation, strengthening operations and enhancing its position in the Asia-Pacific region.

Becoming a member of AAPA, Vietnam Airlines will participate in the association's meetings and activities. Through this, the airline can update and exchange development trends of the aviation industry, and receive information, forecasts and in-depth advice from leading experts in the region and the world . These activities will help improve the operational efficiency, exploitation and service quality of Vietnam Airlines. In addition, Vietnam Airlines can establish and strengthen bilateral relations with leading airlines in Asia, diversify products, and open up more attractive and high-quality options for passengers.

Mr. Subhas Menon, General Director of AAPA, affirmed: “We are honored to welcome Vietnam Airlines to the Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines. Vietnam Airlines is a prestigious international airline, playing an important role in the development of the aviation industry as well as the economy of Vietnam. The participation of Vietnam Airlines will strongly strengthen the role of AAPA as the voice of airlines in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said: “By joining AAPA, Vietnam Airlines will not only enhance its operational efficiency in the Asia-Pacific region, but also enhance the image and position of Vietnam’s national airline in the international arena. Vietnam Airlines can propose and contribute its opinions and views as well as those of the entire Vietnamese aviation industry on notable issues in the region. In particular, joining AAPA will promote cooperation between Vietnam Airlines and leading airlines in Asia, thereby bringing more excellent products and services to passengers around the world.”

AAPA is the international association of airlines in the Asia-Pacific region, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with representative offices in Brussels (Belgium) and Washington, DC (USA). Currently, airlines in the Asia-Pacific region carry more than one-third of global passengers and cargo, demonstrating the important contribution of this region to the development of world aviation.

In addition to the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), Vietnam Airlines has also been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 2006 and the SkyTeam global airline alliance since 2010. Joining international aviation organizations is the basis for Vietnam Airlines to integrate into the world and expand its operations globally.
