Taking advantage of favorable weather, at the construction site of VT24 electric pole in Xuan Quang commune, Bao Thang district, the construction team of 18 technical staff and workers worked day and night in 3 shifts and 4 shifts. This is a location that is assessed to have difficult terrain and high construction difficulty, so in addition to increased machinery, maximum human resources were also mobilized to complete the entire workload before May 5.
Mr. Le Van Hong, Head of the Construction Team at VT24, Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV Transmission Line Project shared: " Today is International Labor Day, but under the direction of the investor, the staff and workers of Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company still mobilized 100% of the workforce to construct, trying to ensure safety, progress and quality of the project".
Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company was assigned to carry out package No. 1-HH with 51 pole locations. Most of the pole locations are in unfavorable terrain, the unit had to open public roads to bring equipment and machinery into construction. With the initiative of the local government in handing over "clean" land, and the support of people in the project area, the unit is determined to complete the proposed plan early.
Deputy General Director of Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company - Mr. Nguyen Cao Ngoc shared: "We have focused all human resources, machinery and equipment at the construction site and implemented the construction in accordance with the spirit of 3 shifts, 4 shifts, if the working day is not enough, we continue to work at night. Up to this moment, the progress basically meets the plan".
Mr. Do Quang Khai, Deputy Director of Power Project Management Board 1 (Vietnam Electricity Group) said that up to now, Lao Cai province is constructing 95/100 locations, the unit is actively working with contractors to remove arising difficulties and speed up the project progress.
Completing the project on schedule assigned by the Prime Minister will not only ensure power transmission and relieve the capacity of hydropower plants in the Northwest region, but also contribute to ensuring national energy security.
The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project has a total investment of nearly 7,420 billion VND, a length of nearly 230 km, passing through 4 provinces: Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho , Lao Cai, Yen Bai. In Lao Cai, the project passes through 2 districts of Bao Thang and Bao Yen with 100 pole locations.
