After losing 1-3 in the first leg of the semi-final, Pathum United were determined to turn the tables when they played at home in the second leg. However, this team was often at a disadvantage against Thailand's number 1 force, Buriram, so Pathum United could not put any pressure on them.
Even in the first half, if Pathum United did not have a single shot on target, Buriram made the opposing goalkeeper work hard twice. In the 7th minute, Supachai had a chance with a close-range header but he sent the ball wide. In the 29th minute, Guillerme Bissoli received the ball and fired a shot. The ball was blocked by the Pathum goalkeeper.
The first half ended 0-0 with Pathum impatient. In the second half, the game did not show much promise. Chanathip's club did not even have the ball to launch an attack.

Pathum (blue shirt) is powerless to turn the tide. |
With nearly 70% possession, Buriram easily took the game their way. The team had a 2-goal lead so they were not eager to attack. They created a few chances but could not take advantage. Buriram, the club that owns Suphanat, Bunmathan or Supachai... was satisfied with the 0-0 result, the final result was 3-1 and won a ticket to the final.
In the final, Buriram will face CAHN, the team of Mano Polking, former Bangkok United and Thailand national team coach. The first leg will take place on May 14 at Hang Day Stadium and the return leg will take place a week later.
Despite their defeat in the Asian Cup, Buriram are still on course for four trophies after winning the Thai League. They also have the FA Cup semi-final, League Cup semi-final and the Southeast Asian Cup final to play.
With great potential, it can be said that Buriram will bring huge pressure to the representative of Vietnam.
