According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Yen Phu commune, storm No. 10 caused heavy rain in the area along with the flood discharge from Canh Tang lake, causing a lot of damage in the commune. As of 4:30 p.m. on September 29, floodwaters had overflowed all culverts, and in some places the water was flowing so fast that it could not circulate. In particular, the rain and floods submerged over 50 hectares of unharvested rice, about 15 hectares of crops, and 6 hectares of acacia.

In addition, landslides flooded some houses, Binh Hem Kindergarten was flooded, Yen Phu Medical Station leaked. Landslides occurred at 3 points on Highway 443, trees fell onto the road, some power lines were loose and fell onto the road, affecting traffic. There were 2 hamlets with broken power lines, 4 power stations had problems, causing power outages.

To respond to and overcome the consequences of floods, the People's Committee of the commune has directed the militia and police to clear up fallen trees on the road; set up checkpoints at flooded culverts and landslides; and coordinate with the electricity company to handle incidents. Coordinate with businesses to use excavators to clear underground sewers and clear landslides to ensure traffic.

The Commune People's Committee has also directed local forces to assist in evacuating the property of flooded families to safe places. The Commune continues to regularly inform about the developments of Storm No. 10 so that people can proactively respond.
