DNVN - From 3 PM on March 21st, fuel prices increased simultaneously. Specifically, gasoline prices rose by more than 700 VND/liter, with RON 95 III gasoline exceeding 24,000 VND/liter.
In the price adjustment on March 21st, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided to allocate 300 VND/kg to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) for fuel oil, but not for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Simultaneously, no funds from the BOG were used for any petroleum products.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 730 VND/liter compared to the current retail price, reaching 23,220 VND/liter, and RON 95 III gasoline increased by 740 VND/liter to a new price of 24,290 VND/liter.
From 3 PM on March 21st, the price of gasoline increased by more than 700 VND per liter.
Diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil also increased simultaneously by 470 VND, 560 VND, and 670 VND respectively, reaching new prices of 21,010 VND/liter, 21,270 VND/liter, and 17,100 VND/kg.
This decision to adjust fuel prices comes amidst a global oil market situation from March 14-20 being affected by factors such as: increased military activity by Ukraine targeting Russian oil refining infrastructure, continued decline in US crude oil inventories, and ongoing tensions in the Middle East… These factors have caused global fuel prices to fluctuate, but the trend has been predominantly upward.
