RON95 gasoline exceeds 20,000 VND/liter, E10 biofuel is nearly 400 VND/liter cheaper

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced an adjustment in gasoline prices with increases for most items, effective from 3:00 p.m. on August 7.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , based on the developments in world oil prices, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided to adjust retail prices of oil products to ensure domestic prices are consistent with world trends, encourage the use of biofuels and harmonize interests among market participants.

Specifically, the maximum retail price for gasoline prices E5-RON 92: no higher than VND 19,608/liter (an increase of VND 207/liter compared to the current base price), VND 466/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline.

RON95-III gasoline: no higher than VND 20,074/liter (an increase of VND 234/liter compared to the current base price);

Diesel 0.05S: not higher than VND 18,800/liter (down VND 268/liter compared to current base price);

Kerosene: not higher than VND 18,660/liter (down VND 54/liter compared to current base price).

Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S: not higher than VND 15,647/kg (increase VND 114/kg compared to current base price).

For E10 gasoline, Petrolimex announced the price of 19,600 VND/liter in zone 1 and 19,990 VND/liter in zone 2. PVOIL announced the price of 19,830 VND/liter in zone 1 and 20,220 VND/liter in zone 2.

In this adjustment period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the petroleum price stabilization fund for E5-RON 92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil products.

This leads to the prices of petroleum products between the management periods of July 31 and August 7 being as follows: The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price management periods of July 31, 2025 and August 7, 2025 is: 78.508 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 1.100 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.42%); 80.198 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 1.100 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.39%); 87.616 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 0.426 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.48%); 88.868 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel (down 1.632 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.80%); 420,802 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 3,404 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.82%).

Thus, the price of gasoline has been continuously decreasing recently, but now it has increased slightly again in the last two sessions. According to regulations, gasoline traders will adjust prices at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, August 7.
