Phan Thiet is a ward established on the basis of merging 3 wards: Lac Dao - Phu Trinh - Binh Hung of Phan Thiet City (old), with a natural area of 4.46 km 2 , a population of 85,493 people, divided into 44 neighborhoods. The retention of the place name Phan Thiet is agreed and excited by the majority of people, because this is a familiar name, closely associated with the lives of the people. At the same time, it is also a condition to recall the historical and cultural traditions of the long-standing locality.

Not only that, the merger of 3 core wards, the central urban area of Phan Thiet city (old) is the convergence of strengths of trade and services".
The first Congress of Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030, was held on July 29-30 at the Conference Center (Phan Thiet Ward). The theme of the congress is "Building a clean, strong Party, government, and Fatherland Front that operate effectively, efficiently, and effectively; preserving and promoting the solidarity of the entire people; ensuring national defense and security; promoting the potential and advantages of trade, services, tourism , and marine economy; building Phan Thiet Ward to develop comprehensively and sustainably.
Located in the ward is Phan Thiet fishing port, one of the largest in Lam Dong province. The fishing port is located right at the estuary, adjacent to the poetic Ca Ty river. The activities of buying, selling, processing and exporting seafood here take place bustlingly. This place is not only the anchorage point of hundreds of boats after their trips to sea, but also one of the famous fish markets in the region... Not only owning a large fishing port, the ward also has Phan Thiet market - one of the large, long-standing wholesale markets of the province with bustling trade, service and goods trading activities. That advantage of Phan Thiet ward is the premise and strength to promote the development of the private economy in all fields. Thanks to that, it contributes to the budget about over 80% of the total budget revenue in the area.
It can be said that the convergence and bustling activities of enterprises and individual business households in the core urban area will lead to an improvement in the lives of local people. In addition, the locality has been flexible and taken advantage of loan programs and projects to solve employment, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty... As a result, many people have been able to get loans, contributing significantly to increasing employment and improving people's lives.
Improve people's lives
From the internal strength of the Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee, plus social resources, people's lives are getting better day by day. Therefore, mobilizing people to build projects in residential areas according to the motto "People do, State supports" is implemented quite well.
According to the leader of Phan Thiet Ward People's Committee, over the past 5 years, the ward has implemented 24 "People do, State supports" projects, contributing to the beautification of the urban area and preventing flooding in residential areas. The projects were implemented with a budget of more than 2.7 billion VND, of which, the people contributed more than 935 million VND. In addition, under the direction of the Party Committee, the neighborhoods mobilized the people to contribute 100% of the construction costs of 98 projects in residential areas, worth more than 2.3 billion VND. Not only that, the people also agreed to support, contribute and effectively implement various types of social security funds. Thereby, contributing to stabilizing and improving the lives of policy families and poor and disadvantaged families in the locality.
With the geographical location in the core urban area of Phan Thiet, adjacent and conveniently connected to traffic, after the merger, Phan Thiet ward expanded its development space and increased the economic scale of the ward.

Thereby, the whole ward has reduced the number of poor households by 72...
Mr. Tran Nguyen Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet Ward emphasized: In the coming term, the Party Committee and People of the ward clearly define the goal of "Building a strong and comprehensive Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee; continuing to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of the economy in the direction of trade, services, marine economy, and small-scale industry; paying attention to solving social issues, improving people's lives; ensuring security and order; building a strong political system; building infrastructure associated with environmental protection, urban embellishment; building a ward that meets urban civilization standards". At the same time, the Party Committee of Phan Thiet Ward identifies 5 key tasks and 3 development breakthroughs. In particular, building Phan Thiet Ward into a green, clean, and civilized urban area; doing a good job of compensation and site clearance for key projects of the province in the area. At the same time, the ward focuses on urban beautification and rearrangement of some residential areas in the ward, especially in the coastal axis area of Doi Duong - Thuong Chanh when the province deploys investment.
We believe that with determination, unity and joint efforts, the Party Committee and People of Phan Thiet Ward will develop strongly and comprehensively.
Main targets by 2030 of Phan Thiet Ward Party Committee
Seafood output is 8,000 tons/year; total state budget revenue in the area increases by an average of 7-9%/year; the rate of public schools meeting national standards reaches 75-77%; the rate of trained workers in various forms reaches 89%, the number of workers with new jobs created annually reaches 150-200 people; the multidimensional poverty rate maintains a reduction of at least 0.05%/year; the rate of universal health insurance reaches 95%; by 2030, 97% of households will be recognized as cultural families; 100% of cultural residential groups will be recognized and maintain the title of cultural residential groups...
