Since its establishment, the Party Committee of the 34th Corps has led comprehensively, with a focus and key points, in which improving overall quality, qualifications and combat readiness is the consistent goal. Following the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , the Party Committee of the Corps has focused on leading innovation in training and combat readiness, associated with the task of building a comprehensively strong Corps that is "exemplary and typical".

In the context of the area where the base is located still has many potential factors causing instability, promoting the glorious tradition of the two heroic Corps, the Party Committee and Command of the 34th Corps have focused on leading the improvement of the quality of combat readiness and training. Combat plans have been supplemented and completed to suit the Central Highlands and Southeast regions. The quality of training has changed positively; one-sided and two-level command-agency exercises on the map, in the field and comprehensive round exercises have been organized in a practical, mission-oriented manner, ensuring absolute safety.

The work of building discipline and managing discipline training continues to be promoted. The Corps has many effective models and methods such as: "Law Day", "One question a day, one law a week", "One on one", "Two friends progressing together"... From there, it creates a real change in the awareness of organizing discipline, complying with the order and daily and weekly regime for each soldier and in the whole unit.

Party committees and commanders at all levels in the entire Corps have led and directed the implementation of education work to raise awareness and sense of responsibility for all soldiers, promoting the exemplary role of cadres, especially cadres in charge at all levels. The study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style have been organized systematically, specifically and practically, associated with annual breakthrough contents. Party committees at all levels have proactively innovated leadership methods, built clean and strong Party organizations, promoted democracy, and upheld the principles of organizing Party activities. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations have been enhanced. Inspection and supervision work has been conducted seriously, systematically and in accordance with regulations.

In particular, the Corps' logistics and technical work has made many breakthroughs, effectively implementing the emulation movement "The Army's logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings", building models of increased production and effective production, contributing to improving the lives of soldiers. The system of warehouses, stations, workshops, weapons and technical equipment is well preserved, fully ensuring regular and unexpected tasks.

The first Congress of the Party Committee of the 34th Army Corps for the 2025-2030 term took place in the context of the country entering a new era - the era of national development, while also facing many difficulties and challenges. The newly established Army Corps is stationed in a large area, with increasingly high mission requirements, and the lives of some officers and soldiers are still difficult.

In the spirit of facing the truth and correctly assessing the situation, the Congress determined the theme of "Promoting the heroic tradition of predecessor units, building a clean and strong Party organization; a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern Army Corps, successfully completing all assigned tasks". At the same time, it emphasized: It is necessary to continue to strongly innovate thinking and leadership to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern Army Corps, worthy of the role of the strategic mobile main force unit of the Vietnam People's Army.

Faced with the need to innovate and improve the quality of training, the Corps determined that it was necessary to focus on leading the construction and consolidation of the system of training grounds and regular training grounds, building key units, promoting the application of simulation technology, training close to terrain conditions, close to the target, close to the plan. Training is associated with physical training, improving long-distance mobility, in conditions where the enemy uses high-tech weapons.

One of the identified breakthroughs is to build a “refined, compact, strong”, modern Army Corps with a reasonable organization, tight staffing, strong enough force, high level, ready to successfully carry out tasks in all situations. Along with that is to improve comprehensive leadership capacity, especially the capacity to command and coordinate military services; promote collective intelligence and political responsibility of the team of cadres in charge at all levels.

The Corps also identified the need to focus on leadership and direction to build a strong unit in terms of political ideology, organization, and ethics, "each cadre and soldier is a nucleus of solidarity, a fortress of trust on the front line of the Fatherland". Continue to promote the effectiveness of mass mobilization activities, increase participation in building a strong local political base, maintain the national defense posture associated with the people's security posture. Carry out mass mobilization work, "Repaying gratitude", prevent and combat natural disasters, help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, contribute to strengthening the spirit of solidarity between the army and the people in the area.

The Congress clearly identified the need to focus on building a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization, ethics and cadres. Party committees at all levels need to focus on building a contingent of cadres with strong political will, pure moral qualities, innovative thinking, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility; strictly implementing the principle of democratic centralism, opposing manifestations of "mediocreism", evasion, shirking, and localism.
