On July 28, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, informed about the achievements of Vietnamese circus in the international arena.

Accordingly, the performance "Swinging Lotus" performed by four female artists was awarded the Special Prize at the IDOL 2025 World Circus Arts Festival held in Moscow (Russia), from July 17 to 20.
The IDOL 2025 World Circus Festival brings together artists from 15 countries including: Russia, USA, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, Hungary, Mexico, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Australia, Portugal and Chile.

Vietnam participated with the performance “Swinging lotus” performed by four female artists: Meritorious Artist Lo Ngoc Thuy, Pham Huong, Luu Huong, Hong Thuy of the Vietnam Circus Federation. The performance “Swinging lotus” impressed with its skillful technique and the symbolic image of the lotus - Vietnam's national flower, staged in circus language combined with music and traditional costumes. The audience could not help but admire the grace and courage of the “living lotuses” from Vietnam.
In addition to the honor of winning the Special Prize, the act was invited to tour at the Circus on Lenin Hill - the "cradle" of the most professional and modern circus art in Russia today.
Immediately after that, from July 23 to 26, the Vietnam Circus Federation continued to participate in the 3rd International Circus Festival in Almaty city (Kazakhstan) - an event held to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakhstan National Circus.

The festival brings together nearly 160 artists from 15 countries, including Russia, China, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, France, Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Vietnam, Kazakhstan... There are 28 competing performances, divided into two programs A and B. People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, is a member of the jury at this festival.
The Vietnamese delegation participated with the double rope performance “Duo Love” performed by Meritorious Artist Thanh Tuan and Meritorious Artist Thu Huong. This was a technical and emotional performance, leaving a strong impression on the audience. The performance stood out with many difficult moves, especially the scene where the two artists hung by their teeth and posed like a kiss suspended at a height of nearly 10 meters without using any protective equipment.

The climax of the performance stunned the entire jury when artist Thu Huong hung one leg on a rope and used her hair to support artist Thanh Tuan as he spun around in a tooth-hanging position - a rare technique that only very few artists in the world can perform.
With skillful technique and sublime emotions, the performance won the Gold award in the award system including: 1 Granfix award, 3 Gold awards, 3 Silver awards and 3 Bronze awards.

The Granfix award went to Kazakhstan for the “Climbing Pillar” performance with a record of 3-person pillar on the forehead climbing the ladder. In addition to Vietnam, the remaining 2 Gold awards went to the Collective Swing performance of Russia and the Mixed-Female Leather Strap performance of Ukraine.
Next September, the Vietnam Circus Federation will continue to bring the double trapeze act “Duo Love” to participate in the 4th International Circus Festival “Without Borders” in St. Petersburg (Russia).
