Quickly handle cases under the province's monitoring

The Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee regularly give guidelines to resolve issues related to internal affairs, especially issues and incidents of public concern. They have urged relevant agencies and units to speed up the handling of 11 incidents and cases under the supervision and management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Up to now, the court has tried 3/5 cases related to security and order, including: The case of "Intentionally causing injury" and "Disturbing public order" on November 3, 2021, which occurred in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district; The case of "Intentionally causing injury" occurred on February 3, 2022 at No. 50, Ly Thuong Kiet, Ward 1, Tan An ward, La Gi town and the case of "Disturbing public order" occurred on March 4, 2022 in front of the headquarters of the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police, Phan Thiet city; The case of "Intentionally damaging property" occurred in Vo Xu town, Duc Linh district. Next are 2/11 cases of corruption and negativity. Including: The case of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" and "Fraudulent appropriation of property" occurred at the People's Committee of Ham Cuong commune, Ham Thuan Nam district; The case of "Forest destruction" occurred at Binh Thuan Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. and "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences" occurred at the Ham Thuan Nam District Forest Protection Department (the verdicts of both cases have not yet taken legal effect).

In particular, in 2023, the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee have done a good job of receiving citizens and handling petitions, letters, complaints and denunciations of citizens. As of October 31, 2023, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary received 10 times/18 citizens. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee received 642 petitions (148 complaints; 185 denunciations; 299 reflections and recommendations), 1 application for citizen reception; accordingly, 632 petitions have been processed (271 petitions transferred, 57 petitions guided, 274 petitions saved), 10 petitions are being commented on.

In 2023, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review internal affairs and anti-corruption work in 2022 and deploy tasks for 2023. Then, it issued Action Program No. 60-CTr/TU, dated March 30, 2023, on implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated November 9, 2022 of the Party Central Committee (13th tenure) on continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule-of-law State of Vietnam in the new period; Directive No. 32-CT/TU, dated August 31, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership and direction in anti-corruption, negativity and waste work. The Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Matters issued a decision to inspect and review socio -economic inspections and implement recommendations of the State Audit in the area in 2023. Currently, the Inspection and Review Team of the Provincial Steering Committee is conducting inspections and reviews of 358 inspection conclusions. In addition, the Provincial Party Committee issued Project 08-DA/TU, dated March 8, 2023, on building an information system to handle complaints, denunciations, reflections and recommendations of citizens; organizing a preliminary review of the Party's directives and resolutions related to internal affairs according to the requirements of the Central Committee and the plan of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

The Provincial Party Committee's assessment shows that the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been seriously implemented by the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations, departments, branches, agencies and units, in conjunction with the tasks of local socio-economic development. State management work and coordination between forces in grasping the situation and handling outstanding, sudden and arising cases are increasingly tighter.

Regarding the orientation of key tasks in 2024, the Provincial Party Committee emphasized the requirement: To lead and direct the entire political system to step up the fight against corruption and negativity. Continue to direct the timely, strict and lawful handling of corruption and negativity cases; inspect and supervise the inspection of cases, prosecution, investigation, prosecution and trial of serious and complicated corruption and economic cases, urgent cases of public concern.

Promote the leadership role of Party committees, especially heads of agencies, units and localities in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Focus on leading and directing the implementation of political security work, focusing on security in the fields of economy, culture, ideology, information and communication, cyber security, etc.
