On the afternoon of September 28, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity held its 6th meeting to evaluate the results of the implementation of tasks in the past 9 months and determine tasks for the last 3 months of 2023. Comrade Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (referred to as the Steering Committee) chaired the meeting.
Also attending were comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and other members.
In the first 9 months of 2023, the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee have led and directed Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units and localities to seriously implement the Party's guidelines and policies, State laws; the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee and the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Accordingly, documents have been issued to direct, urge and guide the implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Of which, there are 2 Regulations, 1 Decision and 1 Instruction to specify a number of regulations of the superiors related to the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee...
After 9 months of operation, the Provincial Steering Committee has directed the inspection and strict and timely handling of Party organizations, cadres and Party members when there are signs of violations in serious, complicated corruption and negative cases that are of public concern. As a result, the Party Committees and Inspection Committees at all levels in the province have reviewed and drawn lessons from 3 Party organizations, disciplined 23 Party members; reviewed and drawn lessons from 22 Party members; and are continuing to inspect when there are signs of violations against 1 Party organization and 11 Party members.
In addition, the Provincial Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee have directed the handling of 95/113 petitions, letters of reflection, recommendations, complaints and denunciations sent by citizens to the Provincial Steering Committee (reaching 84.7%); and are continuing to direct the handling of 18 petitions. The main contents are related to complaints about administrative decisions; the granting of land use right certificates; complaints about judgments, decisions to initiate cases, and enforcement of judgments by prosecuting agencies; civil disputes, land disputes, etc.
In the remaining 3 months of 2023, the Steering Committee determined to continue to closely follow the direction of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to implement and complete the tasks set out in 2023. Focus on directing the handling of corruption and negative cases and incidents under the monitoring and direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee. Strictly handle officials and party members who violate corruption and negative cases and incidents. Complete the inspection of anti-corruption and negative work and the inspection and review of economic and social inspections and implement the recommendations of the State Audit.
