In the above areas, many landslide arcs appear, one after another, penetrating 1.2 to 10 m deep into the riverbank. Of which, the most dangerous landslide arc is in the K8+220 area, 11 m downstream from Phu Lang Thuong Hydrological Station, with a length of 42 m, penetrating about 10 m into the riverbank; the depth from the top of the landslide arc to the water surface is 2.5 m.

According to preliminary assessment, the cause of the riverbank landslide is that the geology of this area is mainly sandy alluvial soil; the riverbank has shown signs of small landslides before. Recently, the weather in the area has not rained, the land is dry and cracked, when it rains heavily, it leads to rapid saturation, reduced cohesion, combined with low water level in the river, causing geological instability of the riverbank. This is a dangerous incident that needs to be handled promptly to ensure the safety of the dike during the 2025 flood season.
As soon as the incident was discovered, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment inspected the scene; at the same time, they issued a document requesting the People's Committee of Bac Giang city to immediately implement a number of contents such as: Organizing tree cutting, clearing the entire roof area, dike foot, riverbank in the area to facilitate inspection and monitoring of landslide points; placing warning signs, markers, and markers for monitoring, keeping a logbook of landslide developments; setting up barriers to limit trucks from entering the area.

At the same time, the city will send forces to monitor the incident; conduct surveys and develop additional plans for key dike protection in the incident area to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval before May 30, 2025. Prepare materials, human resources, and means to proactively handle adverse situations.
