“It's not the end”

On social networks, a touching and meaningful message from Mr. Le Hoang Tuan, a teacher at Ba Dinh High School (Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province), sent to 56 candidates who failed the recent 10th grade entrance exam, is spreading.

Many parents said that the teacher's words of encouragement were truly meaningful and valuable, helping them understand the exam pressure their children are going through.

On his personal page, Mr. Tuan wrote: “The results of the 10th grade entrance exam have just been announced. We understand that for many families and students, tonight is probably a long, worrying and heavy night. The scores just announced can make someone’s heart sink, make them cry, or simply cause a speechless silence.

Ba Dinh High School sincerely thanks 56 students for trusting, submitting applications and participating in the recent exam.

Although the results were not as expected, the "fate" between the school and the students is temporarily not enough to accompany us for the next three years, but the presence of the students, the efforts, hope and belief that they bring are things we cherish very much" .

According to Mr. Tuan, behind each application is a journey of preparation, months of hard study, carrying the dream of a young person and the loving expectations of the family. No one wants their dream to be interrupted.

“But guys! An exam cannot define a lifetime. Don't fall at the first starting line. Tell yourself: "I will keep going - maybe slower than others, but never stop . There are doors that close not to block our way, but to lead us to another turn - where we can grow more in our own way "

The teacher also added: “ The important thing is not which path to take, but the spirit of not giving up. If today you have not achieved what you wish for, give yourself time to be sad, to shed tears to feel lighter, and then strongly move on.

There were many people who failed the exam that year, but later became successful and happy people in their own unique ways.

What makes the difference is not the score, but the courage to stand up after each fall. Going to vocational school, going to work, developing your own abilities in another direction… are all valuable options, if you make an effort and are determined to the end .

Mr. Tuan also did not forget to send a message to parents: "As aneducator , a former student and also a father and mother, I understand the sincere wishes of parents, hoping that their children will have a stable educational path, less difficult when entering life.

I understand the pain of having your child's dream interrupted, when your efforts are not rewarded as expected. And I also understand that for students, this may be the first time in their lives they have to face real failure - that is not easy .

Finally, Mr. Tuan sent a sincere advice: “Each child is a separate world , carrying different dreams and ways to conquer life. A failure at this time cannot fully evaluate the children's abilities and qualities. I hope that, instead of scolding or being sad, parents should hug their children and tell them: 'We still have many choices ahead.

A little encouragement at this time will be a great motivation for you to overcome adversity and get back on your feet . "

“Learning should not be the reference system for everything.”

Talking to Dan Tri , Mr. Le Hoang Tuan said he was quite surprised because his words received sympathy from many parents and students. After more than 20 years working in the education sector, he realized that after each exam, many schools often focus on honoring students with high scores, forgetting that there are many other students who have tried very hard but have not achieved the desired results.

“Students who fail the exam have to go through a period of great psychological pressure. That pressure affects not only the students, but also their parents. With that in mind, I wrote these lines to encourage the students and help parents feel at ease, reducing the pressure on their children,” said Mr. Tuan.

According to Mr. Tuan, posting articles on his personal page and school's Fanpage is not to "get likes" or "get views", but to bring a different perspective on exams, so that parents and students can think more openly and comprehensively.

“If we overemphasize academic achievement, it will put a lot of pressure on students. Education must be comprehensive. Learning is not just about solving a math problem well, but knowledge must go hand in hand with skills,” Mr. Tuan emphasized.

According to Mr. Tuan, the 10th grade entrance exam is an important turning point, but the candidates are still 15-16 years old. This is an age of many changes and is vulnerable. Therefore, parents need to pay more attention to their children's emotions and spirit.

“There are many paths to choose in life. The important thing is to make an effort on the path you choose to succeed. No matter what profession you choose, you need to learn - learn correctly and learn enough. Parents need to understand, sympathize and reduce pressure on their children,” Mr. Tuan advised.

The teacher also shared that in the context of increasingly developing social networks, parents posting their children's photos and achievements online sometimes creates invisible pressure on their own children and other students.

According to Mr. Tuan, this year's 10th grade entrance exam had 540 candidates registered to take the exam at Ba Dinh High School, of which 56 students did not meet the admission requirements.
