The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just sent an official dispatch toeducational institutions across the city on proactively implementing COVID-19 prevention and control in educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City in the current situation.
The Department of Education and Training requires schools to seriously implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of students, teachers and school staff.
Strengthen internal communication, provide accurate information about symptoms, transmission routes and ways to prevent COVID-19 to students, parents and teachers. At the same time, it is necessary to closely coordinate with local health stations to monitor and promptly detect suspected cases, conduct epidemiological investigations and handle outbreaks if they arise.
Protect high-risk groups such as students with underlying medical conditions, older teachers, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women. Encourage wearing masks in closed, crowded spaces.
Each educational institution must review and update its epidemic prevention and control plan in accordance with the new situation, comply with the guidance of the health sector and the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Schools need to ensure adequate basic medical supplies such as disinfectants and spare masks, and organize regular cleaning of classrooms, toilets and common areas.
The Department also requires strict compliance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health , including wearing masks in public places and medical facilities, and washing hands regularly with soap or antiseptic solution.
Students and teachers are encouraged to maintain a healthy lifestyle, increase physical activity, and eat a balanced diet to improve their immune system. Avoid gathering in crowded places unless absolutely necessary. If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, you should go to a medical facility immediately for examination and timely treatment.
If any suspected cases or unusual situations related to the epidemic are detected, schools must immediately report to the Department of Education and Training at the district or Thu Duc City level, and coordinate with local health authorities to handle the situation according to the correct procedures.
Finally, the Department of Education and Training requires units to strictly implement the information, reporting and medical declaration regime according to current regulations. The implementation of measures must be flexible and appropriate, avoiding causing panic, but still ensuring the highest goal of health safety for students and teachers, contributing to maintaining stable educational activities throughout the city.
