12 excellent teams compete in the final round of Bia Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 (VPL-S6)

The final round took place at the football field of the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Hoang Liet Ward, Hanoi, gathering 12 excellent teams from 8 regions, including: Thien Khoi FC, SHB, Dai Tu (North); 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy, MyMy, Dien Bach Khoa - Ninh Thuan (South); Hieu Hoa - Quahaco (Central); Friendly (South Central); XSKT Dak Lak (Central Highlands); Son Trang (North Central); Phan Kha Construction (West); Da Lube (Northeast).

The 12 teams are divided into three groups of four teams each, playing a round-robin format. The top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and the final to determine the champion.

Previously, the qualifying round took place from May 18 in 8 regions - the largest scale ever in the history of the tournament. Specifically, 60 teams competed in the Northern regions ( Hanoi ), Southern region (Ho Chi Minh City), Central Highlands (Gia Lai), Western region (Can Tho), Northeast region (Hai Phong), North Central region (Thanh Hoa), Central region (Da Nang) and South Central region (Khanh Hoa). The total number of matches was 248, an increase of nearly 100 matches compared to the 2024 season, affirming the strong development and professionalism of the tournament.

It is expected that after the final, a special showmatch will be held on August 3 with the participation of the best faces of the 7-a-side playground along with professional football stars, national and former national players of Vietnam. This will be one of the important activities to help VPL - with the many years of companionship of Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation through the Saigon Beer brand - promote its role as a meaningful spiritual food for football fans and more than that, it is also a festival with widespread influence.

Promoting cooperation to elevate sports for the community

This is the fourth consecutive year that SABECO, through its Saigon Bia brand, has accompanied VPL as a strategic partner, contributing to enhancing the scale and reputation of the tournament, while demonstrating its commitment to promoting an active lifestyle, connecting the community and arousing national pride through sports.

The final round of the Bia Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 National 7-a-side Football Championship (VPL-S6) takes place from July 19 to July 27.

Not only expanding the scale of the tournament, in 2025, SABECO and VietFootball will continue to raise the level of Vietnamese 7-a-side football with the 3rd season of the International 7-a-side Tournament, scheduled to be held in August, bringing together teams from Thailand, the Philippines and other regions.

SABECO representative shared that the cooperation between SABECO and Vietfootball over the years to jointly develop Vietnam's unique football style is a testament to SABECO's belief that sports are the foundation to nurture national pride, promote community cohesion and create common values through strategic cooperation.

Previously, in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, SABECO also implemented initiatives to spread an active lifestyle and connect the community such as Sports Step Up - upgrading community sports fields in 30 cities and provinces, Sports Hub - Connecting Vietnamese spirit through a series of sports and cultural activities in 36 cities and provinces.
