To be awarded the title of International Grandmaster, a female player must simultaneously meet the conditions of reaching the minimum elo mark of 2,300 and having 3 International Grandmaster standards. To have the standard, the athlete must participate in international open tournaments that meet the standards according to FIDE regulations.
In July 2019, Luong Phuong Hanh first reached the elo mark of 2,300. She also soon obtained 2 international female Grandmaster standards, but due to the impact of the Covid 19 epidemic, this female player has only now obtained the final standard. It was a journey full of perseverance and effort for Luong Phuong Hanh when she spent her own money to compete in many international tournaments in the past 2 years. Therefore, the 42-year-old player is very happy to have achieved the goal she set for herself.
