(CPV) - In the national finals, taking place over three consecutive days from November 1-3, 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, competing in a round-robin format to determine rankings. The top 1st and 2nd placed teams from each of the 4 groups will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
On November 1st, the national finals of the "Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament 2024" officially opened at the Hanoi University of Technology stadium.

The "Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament 2024" was jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation, and Tuoi Tre Newspaper. Attendees included Pham Tat Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Ta Van Ha, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education ; and Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
After more than a month of competition in 4 regional qualifying rounds in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , Nghe An, and Bac Ninh, with 54 teams and 104 matches resulting in 498 goals scored, the tournament has found the 16 best teams to participate in the national finals.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Head of the Steering Committee for the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Public Employees Football Tournament, stated that the tournament is organized to improve the spiritual life and health of union members and workers. The tournament contributes to increased labor productivity, strengthened class solidarity, sports development, and socio-economic development.
In the national finals, held over three consecutive days from November 1-3, 16 teams will be divided into four groups: A, B, C, and D, competing in a round-robin format to determine rankings. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

The national final team will receive 150 million VND in prize money, the runner-up 100 million VND, the third-place team 60 million VND, and the fourth-place team 40 million VND. In addition, the national final round also features several other awards such as: Best Player, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Fairplay Team, Most Impressive Cheerleading Team, and Best Referee Team. Each award is worth 10 million VND. The total prize money for the national final round amounts to 410 million VND.
In addition to organizing the football matches, the Organizing Committee also implemented supplementary activities to serve workers, employees, players, and fans, such as: free examinations and consultations on sports medicine and musculoskeletal disorders, combined with dispensing prescription medication; daily prize draws... in the area surrounding the stadium.
