3 new points of the amnesty on September 2nd

(QNgTV)- According to the Ministry of Public Security, the special amnesty to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, 2025, has many important new points, implemented according to the decision of the President and the guidance of the Special Amnesty Advisory Council. This is a policy that clearly demonstrates the humane and lenient policy of the Party and State towards those serving prison sentences, encouraging progressive reform and early reintegration into the community.

Firstly, the subjects and conditions for special amnesty have been expanded. Some groups of prisoners who were previously not eligible for special amnesty under Decision 266 are now being considered, creating opportunities for many prisoners with good rehabilitation to enjoy this policy.

Second, the emulation classification is adjusted. The emulation consideration period for each type of crime is longer than previous periods, encouraging prisoners to actively practice, work, and study to meet the criteria for consideration.

Third, the criterion of "not adversely affecting security and order" is specifically regulated and applied uniformly nationwide, serving as a basis for detention facilities and local police to evaluate, ensuring publicity and transparency.

These new points contribute to improving the effectiveness of amnesty work, ensuring compliance with regulations and targets, while affirming the profound humanity of the amnesty policy.
