On December 10th, the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Border Guard Command, was finalizing the paperwork for three cases involving the transportation and trading of goods of unknown origin and without valid documentation in the border area, with a total value of approximately 850 million VND.

Earlier, on National Highway 9, authorities patrolled and inspected a Quang Dung sleeper bus carrying various goods of unknown origin. Also on National Highway 9, authorities seized a passenger bus with 3,950 packs of cigarettes of various types bearing foreign labels and lacking proper documentation. On December 9th, in Nai Cuu village, a joint patrol of the border area discovered Vo Minh Chien engaging in the "trading of smuggled goods." They confiscated 132 bottles of various types of liquor.
