Towards the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized the 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in Ho Chi Minh City from May 16 to 18. This congress was attended by 444 delegates who are outstanding young people nationwide, representing millions of union members and young people nationwide.

Among them, Hung Yen province is honored to have 4 delegates honored and attending this year's congress. They are: teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Trung Vuong High School (Van Lam); Mr. Hoang Quang Khai, Secretary of the Youth Union of Doan Khe village, Lac Dao commune (Van Lam); and two students of Hung Yen High School (Hung Yen city), Nguyen Duc Trong and Tran Quang Viet. Each person has a different field, a different way of contributing, but all have within them youthful enthusiasm, the desire to live beautifully, to live usefully, and the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Among the Hung Yen delegates attending the congress, young teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh left a strong impression with her dynamism, creativity and perseverance in Youth Union work and teaching. For Ms. Linh, being selected to attend the Congress is a source of pride, as well as a great motivation to continue striving. “I always believe that youth must be dedicated and devoted; constantly aspiring to bring strength, intelligence and enthusiasm to the cause of building a prosperous and happy country,” she expressed.

Not only has she fulfilled her role as Secretary of the School Youth Union well, Ms. Linh has always been a pioneer in innovating teaching methods, guiding students in scientific research, actively participating and achieving results in professional competitions and technical innovations. She was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province for her outstanding achievements in the movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" in the 2023-2024 school year; was awarded the title "Emulation Fighter" for many consecutive years and was honored as a "Typical Young Teacher" at the provincial level...

Another typical example is Mr. Hoang Quang Khai, Secretary of the Doan Khe Village Youth Union, Lac Dao Commune (Van Lam). Quiet but always full of responsibility and creativity, he has made an important contribution to building the youth movement in the locality. With a passion for spreading reading culture, since August 2018, he has built the "Happiness Library", a free reading room of nearly 20 square meters with 1,000 books of all kinds to serve the community.

From that small library, the spirit of learning and reading has been ignited in many children in the village. In addition, Mr. Khai also actively participates in volunteer activities, supports the community, participates in environmental protection, and encourages young people to live a healthy and responsible life. Mr. Khai said: When attending the Congress, I feel that I need to continue to learn more from Uncle Ho, especially the spirit of being close to and listening to young people to organize practical activities, creating an environment for young people to contribute and mature.

Among the young delegates of Hung Yen this year, there are two special faces from Hung Yen High School. They are Nguyen Duc Trong and Tran Quang Viet, a pair of friends in class 11Q, who stand out not only for their excellent academic achievements but also for being dynamic, creative and responsible students towards the community. Both of them are pioneers in the school student movement: actively doing scientific research, participating in competitions, volunteer activities, sports and life skills...

Tran Quang Viet shared: When I heard that I was selected to attend the Congress, I was very happy and moved. This is a great honor and also a reminder for me to continue to strive, constantly study and practice to be more worthy of the trust and love of teachers and friends. I hope that through the Congress, I can spread the spirit of living beautifully and usefully to students in and outside the province.

This year's National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings took place over 3 days with many meaningful activities such as: a ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho, awarding the "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" badge; visiting and giving gifts to Agent Orange victims; visiting cultural and historical sites of Ho Chi Minh City; presenting works on the Saigon River embankment; exhibition and launching the digital museum space "Uncle Ho with Youth"... All are aimed at honoring, encouraging and replicating bright examples in studying, working and contributing following Uncle Ho's example.

The four delegates from Hung Yen, although different in their fields of work, age or living environment, have in common the desire to live beautifully, live responsibly and spread positive values ​​in the community. They are vivid evidence of the vitality of the movement "Studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" among Hung Yen's youth today. And from these examples, the flame of ideals and the spirit of dedication continue to be lit, contributing to the glory of the traditions of the homeland and the country in the new era.
