44 CAND candidates compete in the final round of the "Excellent grassroots Women's Union officials" contest

(Dan Tri) - The final round of the "Excellent Grassroots Women's Union Cadres" Contest of the Public Security Forces took place over 2 days in Can Tho City, with the participation of 44 teams.

On the morning of November 5, in Can Tho City, the Ministry of Public Security organized the final round of the "Excellent Grassroots Women's Union Cadres" Contest of the People's Public Security Force (CAND) in 2024.

The final round took place over 2 days (November 5 and 6), with the participation of 44 teams, 44 contestants who are excellent Women's Union officers, representatives of Women's Union officers at the Police base of some units under the Ministry of Public Security and Police of provinces and cities nationwide.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, emphasized that the contest is a broad political activity, contributing to creating a cultural playground, improving efficiency and innovating educational methods for association officials and women's association members throughout the force.

This is also an opportunity for the association to promote activities in the association's work and women's movement in the unit, a forum for the staff of the Women's Association at all levels to practice, study, exchange and share experiences to improve knowledge, professional skills in association work and methods of organizing women's movement activities.

The contest integrates propaganda on gender equality, domestic violence prevention, education, child protection, environmental protection and is a playground for contestants to demonstrate the talent, bravery and charm of female police officers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, said that female police officers are present in almost all areas of police work, from professional work, consulting, scientific research, force building to logistics work.

Women in the police force have made great contributions, helping to beautify the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security Forces, the tradition of "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and responsible" of Vietnamese women.

Organizing the "Excellent Grassroots Women's Union Cadres" Contest every 5 years is an activity that contributes to building a team of union cadres to improve their knowledge, expertise, and skills in union work and women's movements; an opportunity for each union cadre to exchange, learn experiences, and strengthen working relationships.

Sharing with the contestants at the contest, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, believes that with the tradition and good qualities of women, at any time and in any circumstance, the moral qualities of Vietnamese women in general and women of the People's Public Security Forces in particular will always shine, contributing to enhancing the role and position of women in the family and society.

He believes that female police officers will continue to promote the good traditional moral qualities of Vietnamese women, especially the four qualities of "Self-respect, confidence, responsibility, and loyalty" and affirm their role in society, successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

The 2024 "Excellent Grassroots Women's Union Cadres" Competition of the Public Security Forces consists of 2 rounds: Preliminary Competition and Final Competition of the entire Public Security Forces. The competition received great attention from leaders at all levels and Public Security of units, localities and Women's Unions at all levels in the Public Security Forces.

The preliminary round attracted 5,060 grassroots police officers from units and localities to participate.

In the final round, with elaborate preparation, the contestants and teams will go through 3 live competitions on stage, including: the introduction competition "We talk about ourselves"; the word-catching competition "Women in the Police integrate and develop" and the talent competition "Brave and talented Association officers".
