A week after the event, Hai Lam returned to school. The beauty is taking exams, answering media interviews, and taking new fashion photos, so she is quite busy.

Hai Lam shared that she suffered from insomnia and fever and had to take medicine due to her schedule and pressure from social media. However, she is still happy and optimistic about what she has achieved this year.

Because she is a student, Hai Lam does not have much money to invest in the contest. She spent about 15 million VND on clothes, shoes, and taking care of her appearance. Hai Lam believes that participating in a beauty pageant requires a lot of investment, and a little investment, but the most important factor is still ability.

Currently, the runner-up lives in a serviced apartment in Can Tho for 4 million VND/month. She lives with her cousin, so she only spends about 2-2.5 million VND/month on rent. The beauty denies that her family is as wealthy as rumored online.

Hai Lam said that there were only two of them in the family because her father passed away when she was 2 years old. Her mother, an accountant, struggled to raise her daughter. After going to university, she worked part-time to help her mother earn money. The beauty hopes that the title of Miss Mekong Delta runner-up will help her make more progress to support her parents.

Hai Lam plans to return to Bac Lieu to visit her mother and relatives during the New Year. She also cherishes tourism and cultural projects in the Mekong Delta in the near future.
