AFC especially praised a star after U23 Vietnam's victory

(Dan Tri) - Midfielder Viktor Le received praise from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) after shining to help U23 Vietnam win 2-0 against U23 Bangladesh.

In the opening match of the U23 Asian qualifiers, U23 Vietnam won 2-0 against U23 Bangladesh at home in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ). In particular, overseas Vietnamese midfielder Viktor Le left a strong impression after entering the field.

The Russian-born player hit the crossbar and then directly contributed to the goal that sealed the 2-0 victory for U23 Vietnam.

After the match, AFC praised Viktor Le: "U23 Vietnam completely dominated the game, while U23 Bangladesh could only rely on set pieces to score.

The appearance of Viktor Le in the second half was the highlight. This player continuously created trouble towards the goal of U23 Bangladesh. In the 70th minute, Viktor Le's shot hit the opponent's crossbar.

The Russian-born player's efforts were rewarded when he finished close to the goal to seal a 2-0 victory for U23 Vietnam in the 83rd minute.

Talking about the goal for U23 Vietnam, Viktor Le said: “Before the match, I felt a bit nervous but when I entered the field, the feeling of confidence came faster. Scoring the first goal for U23 Vietnam was a special moment. I hope to celebrate with my teammates many more times. I also hope to play for the national team in the future.”

Meanwhile, coach Kim Sang Sik also praised this player: “Viktor Le performed well when he entered the field, following the tactics. I am very satisfied with his performance. I congratulate him on his goal for U23 Vietnam.”

In the second match of Group C, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Singapore at 7:00 p.m. on September 6.
