Amorim confirms Antony and Rashford's future

Marcus Rashford and Antony will return to United this summer after impressive performances at Aston Villa and Real Betis.

Coach Ruben Amorim confirmed on April 25: "The players on loan will return, then the club will decide what will happen at the end of the season. When you let a player go, the best thing is that they play well. All these players have talent and they need to show that in the team."

Rashford has scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances on loan at Aston Villa, while Antony has also been impressive, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 18 appearances for Real Betis.

"We are happy because if you look at the situation of the players on loan, you always want them to do well. That is good for us," Amorim added.

Aston Villa have an option to buy Rashford outright for £40m. The England striker is also on Barcelona's radar. Meanwhile, former player Ian Wright has suggested Newcastle United should consider signing Rashford in case Alexander Isak leaves.

For Antony, MU rejected a loan offer from Real Betis for next season. The "Red Devils" want to collect 30 million pounds if they have to sell the Brazilian striker. This figure is much lower than the fee of more than 82 million pounds that MU spent in the summer of 2022.

Now, Rashford and Antony are both aiming for silverware in the remainder of the season. Aston Villa face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final on 26 April, while Real Betis are in the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League. Both teams are also competing for a place in next season's Champions League.
