Tan Son Nhat Airport predicts that on National Day this year, September 2, the number of passengers and flights through the airport will increase, especially on domestic flights.
On average, Tan Son Nhat Airport is expected to serve about 730 flights arriving and departing each day, an increase of about 6% compared to the current flight schedule, including 430 domestic flights and 300 international flights. The airport will serve an average of 125,000 passengers per day, including 75,000 domestic passengers and 50,000 international passengers. During the two peak days (August 30) and September 2, the output can reach 750 flights with 130,000 passengers/day, a record high during the holiday.
In preparation for the travel demand during the holiday, Tan Son Nhat Airport has completed the conversion of domestic flights to Terminal T3. Currently, Vietnam Airlines , Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel Airlines have all moved to Terminal T3; Vietjet Air continues to operate at Terminal T1.
In the near future, Tan Son Nhat will reorganize Terminal T1, move all Vietjet procedures to Hall A, and renovate Hall B into a transit area connecting Terminals T1, T2, and T3. In addition, the VNeID check-in system, biometric identification, and internal port buses will also be deployed, thereby optimizing passenger service.

Currently, the aviation security control force at Tan Son Nhat has also increased the frequency of random patrols, controlling access to restricted areas; increased screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, checked luggage, non-passengers and items brought in/out of restricted areas. At the same time, the time and frequency of inspection and supervision of the command and management system at all levels have been increased.
Previously, the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures at airports, airfields, and air traffic service facilities nationwide from August 20 to September 4.

In addition, from August 18 to August 19 and from September 5 to September 7, a number of measures will be applied to strengthen aviation security for units with aviation security control forces, such as: increasing patrol frequency, security surveillance by cameras in public areas, controlling luggage with unknown owners; regularly checking trash cans, restrooms and hidden places.
