[Photo] National Assembly Chairman meets with outstanding national voluntary blood donors in 2024

NDO - On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of World Blood Donor Day (June 14, 2004 - June 14, 2024), on the afternoon of June 14, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors nationwide in 2024.

In Vietnam, after 30 years of officially launching the blood donation movement (January 24, 1994 - January 24, 2024), the whole country has mobilized and received over 21.3 million units of blood. If in 1994, we only received 138,000 units of blood, the result in 2023 reached more than 1.55 million units of blood, 11 times higher than in 1994; the voluntary blood donation rate reached 99%.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Thanh, and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan chaired the meeting.

Secretary General, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong; Head of the Social Affairs Committee Nguyen Thuy Anh; Head of the Culture and Education Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh and delegates attended the meeting.
