Real Betis' 3-0 win over Mallorca in round 12 of La Liga marked a day of sublimation for the attack, especially Antony - who made his mark on all three goals.
In the 10th minute, Antony opened the scoring himself with a brave breakthrough on the right wing, passing the ball to Cucho Hernandez and then unleashing a powerful left-footed shot into the near corner, giving goalkeeper Bergstrom no chance to block it.
The home team continued to attack continuously and in the 34th minute, Antony coordinated well with Hector Bellerin before curling the ball dangerously to increase the score to 2-0.
Just three minutes later, the Brazilian continued to leave his mark with a convenient cross for Abde Ezzalzouli to finish, helping Betis lead 3-0 after only 37 minutes. Mallorca tried to fight back in the second half, but all of Muriqi's chances were thwarted by the Betis defense.
In the 76th minute, Antony almost scored a hat-trick in a quick counter-attack, but his shot was blocked by Bergstrom with his foot. However, his double and an assist earned Antony the Man of the Match award.
This victory helped Betis surpass Espanyol, climb to 5th place on the rankings and open the door to return to the Champions League arena next season.
