Ms. Harris is the top choice of the Democrats for the 2028 US presidential election.

A newly released poll shows that despite her defeat in the recent presidential race, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris remains the top choice among Democrats for the 2028 election.

According to a Puck News/Echelon Insights poll, 41% of likely Democratic voters would nominate Harris as the party's nominee for the 2028 presidential election. Other potential nominees include California Governor Gavin Newsom, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Approximately 16% were undecided, and about 1% preferred a different candidate.

Meanwhile, on the Republican side, voters chose Vice President-elect James Vance as their leading candidate for the primary election with 37%. Other candidates include former 2024 presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Ted Cruz, and Governor Marco Rubio, who was chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to be Secretary of State.

The survey was conducted from November 14th to 18th among more than 1,000 voters with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
