Meanwhile, Nguyen Tien Minh (ranked 358th in the world) also competed in the men's singles qualifying round, facing Indian tennis player Orijit Chaliha (ranked 309th in the world). The experience of the 42-year-old tennis player, who won the world bronze medal, helped Nguyen Tien Minh successfully overcome his opponent in the first set and had a narrow victory of 22/20. Unfortunately, losing 18/21 to Orijit Chaliha in the second set made Nguyen Tien Minh run out of breath in the third set and accept defeat 1-2 and stop.

Tomorrow, the number 1 hope of Vietnamese badminton in the Vietnam Open, Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 18th in the world), will compete against the world's 70th ranked player Liang Ting-yu (Taiwan).
