GD&TĐ - The Ministry of Education and Training has officially issued the framework for piloting artificial intelligence education for high school students.

The AI ​​education content framework for students is developed based on four main knowledge strands, corresponding to four competency domains, which are intertwined and complement each other:

Human-centered thinking: Emphasize that the purpose of AI is to serve humanity, teaching students how to identify needs and evaluate AI solutions.

AI Ethics: Equipping AI with the ability to identify and analyze ethical and legal issues, aiming for responsible use of AI.

AI Techniques and Applications: Provides fundamental knowledge about how AI works and skills in using AI tools in practice.

AI System Design: Developing capabilities from user-level skills to creating simple AI systems independently, focusing on problem-solving skills.

The curriculum framework is designed to correspond to two educational stages: the basic education stage (including primary and lower secondary levels) and the vocational education stage (upper secondary level), specifically as follows:

At the primary school level: Students primarily experience simple, intuitive AI applications to form initial concepts and recognize the role of AI in life. They are educated about protecting personal data and respecting copyright.

At the middle school level: Students learn how to use AI tools to create digital products and solve academic problems. They are equipped with foundational knowledge about the principles of AI and begin to develop an awareness of ethics and civic responsibility in the digital society.

At the high school level: Students are encouraged to explore, design, and improve simple AI tools through science projects. The program focuses on developing problem-solving skills, creativity, and mastery of AI tools, helping students apply AI to create products that serve the community and guide their future career paths.

In addition to core educational content, students can choose elective courses to enhance practical skills, gain deeper insights into AI application areas, or learn programming techniques and AI system development.
