Binh Thuan Newspaper, a name closely associated with Binh Thuan province, located at the southern end of Central Vietnam and the eastern end of the South Central and Southeast regions of Vietnam, is no stranger to journalists and people nationwide.

The newspaper currently has over 40 staff members, mostly new recruits following in the footsteps of previous generations, maintaining both print and online versions of the newspaper. They work together in various departments such as the online editorial office, reporters, and administration. All of this is aimed at providing and conveying information, policies, and guidelines of the Party to the people and vice versa. Readers, who consider the press an indispensable source of intellectual nourishment, have seen this reflected in the online newspaper's 24/7 updated sections and the print newspaper's regular publication from Monday to Friday.

Newspapers not only serve to organize and guide public opinion, disseminate experiences in socio -economic development and the building of new lives in localities, but also act as the most detailed historical record of Binh Thuan, serving as a long-term resource. They are increasingly loved by readers, especially in recent years, with continuous innovation, improvement, and enhancement of quality. Many journalistic works go beyond simply providing and conveying information, having a profound and effective impact on social life. These are journalistic works that reflect life through fundamental questions: Who, what, where, when, why, and how, clarifying events from different perspectives. Many journalistic works have encouraged and inspired unity and creativity in socio-economic development in localities, contributing to social security and stability... attracting much reader interest.

To date, the newspaper marks 49 years of its formation and development, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary press. The Binh Thuan Journalists Association recently held a celebration, attended by many journalists from Binh Thuan. Everyone was enthusiastic and happy, but there was also a touch of sadness and emotion at the thought of having to say goodbye to the name Binh Thuan Newspaper.

After merging with Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station, the newspaper, along with Dak Nong Newspaper and Radio Station, merged into Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio Station under a new name: Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television Station. This stemmed from the merger of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong into Lam Dong province under the new name Lam Dong, in accordance with the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee on the merger of administrative units at all levels.

Lam Dong province has a population of over 3.3 million people, of which Binh Thuan province has over 1.2 million. There are readers and contributors who have been associated with the newspaper since the 1990s when the editorial office was located at 232 Tran Hung Dao Street, then moved to 4 Ba Trieu Street, and now to 335 Vo Van Kiet Street,” such as Ms. Truong Thi Bach Tuyet.

They are well-versed in the history of newspaper editors-in-chief, those who were considered the "chief architects" and "conductors," leading the leadership team, editors, reporters, and staff in fulfilling the political tasks and mission of the media organization. Examples include journalists Châu Văn Thư, Trần Thị Thái Hòa, Lê Hồng Văn, and Lê Huy Toàn. Among them, the young journalist Lê Huy Toàn faced the most pressure during his tenure as Editor-in-Chief because the newspaper's history had entered a new phase, requiring change to adapt to the needs of the journalistic workforce, if it didn't want to be left behind.

Even though Binh Thuan Newspaper no longer exists, it will forever remain in the minds of journalists and the people of Binh Thuan. In the future, Binh Thuan journalists will move to new workplaces, continuing to provide and convey information, policies, and guidelines of the Party to the people and vice versa. Readers in Binh Thuan holding a newspaper with a different name will still find it to be the Binh Thuan Newspaper.
