Bao Lam: Youth volunteers give scholarships and cook free meals for disadvantaged students

(LĐ online) - Giving scholarships and cooking free meals for students in difficult circumstances are meaningful activities that Bao Lam District Youth Union has implemented for many consecutive years in the Exam Support Program at the annual High School Graduation Exam.

Representatives of the Youth Union of Lam Dong Aluminum Company and Bao Lam District Youth Union presented scholarships to candidates in difficult circumstances on the morning of June 26.

During the 2025 High School Graduation, Bao Lam District Youth Union mobilized socialized funds to award scholarships and cook free meals for poor students and ethnic minority students with difficult circumstances. Thereby, to support and encourage them to be confident to achieve good results in the ongoing High School Graduation Exam.

On the morning of June 26, Bao Lam District Youth Union coordinated with Lam Dong Aluminum Company Youth Union to award 20 scholarships (worth 300,000 VND/scholarship) to support and encourage candidates to enter the exam with confidence and achieve high results.

Also in the morning of the same day, when the candidates entered the exam room to take the Literature test, it was also the time when the union members and young volunteers supported the exam season at the exam site of Bao Lam High School (Loc Thang town), each person had a task to do together to prepare food and cook free meals to give to the candidates at this exam site.

By 10 o'clock, the union members and youth volunteers had prepared more than 30 hot meals and brought them to the gate of Bao Lam High School to give to candidates in difficult circumstances and ethnic minority candidates far from home after finishing the Literature exam.

Similarly, at the exam site of Loc Thanh High School (Loc Thanh commune), from socialized funding, volunteer youth bought more than 30 meals to give to candidates with difficult circumstances in exam site communes such as Loc Nam and Tan Lac communes.

Mr. Le Xuan Vu - Secretary of Bao Lam District Youth Union said that in 2 days from June 26 and 27, the 2025 high school graduation exam will take place, along with the exam support activities, local youth will cook 2 meals with a total of nearly 130 meals to give to disadvantaged candidates, ethnic minority candidates who are taking the exam at Bao Lam High School and Loc Thanh High School. Thereby, we hope to contribute to sharing difficulties and adding motivation for candidates to have a comfortable mindset to do the exam and achieve good results.

Along with that, this year's exam support program was established by Bao Lam District Youth Union with youth volunteer teams to carry out many meaningful activities for candidates. At the exam sites of Bao Lam High School (Loc Thang town), Loc An High School and Loc Thanh High School, volunteer teams organized to distribute water, study tools and milk boxes to support candidates; at the same time, organized free shuttle buses to pick up candidates to the exam sites on time and participated in ensuring security, order and traffic safety. Thereby, contributing to motivating candidates to be more confident and achieve the highest test results.
