Storm Yinxing changes direction, heading towards the Central Coast

Last night and early morning of November 10, storm Yinxing (storm number 7) tended to slow down, gradually changed direction towards the sea areas of the Central Central provinces and its intensity began to weaken.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 4:00 a.m. this morning, the center of storm Yinxing (storm No. 7) was about 335 km north-northeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the storm center was level 14 (150-166 km/h), gusting to level 17.

Thus, compared to last night, the intensity of storm Yinxing has weakened from level 15 to level 14. The storm is currently moving quite slowly to the west at a speed of about 5km/h.

Forecast today and tonight (in the next 24 hours), the storm will change direction, move southwest at a speed of about 5-10km/h and gradually weaken.

At 4am tomorrow morning, the storm center will be about 145km north of Hoang Sa archipelago, the storm intensity is currently level 10 (89-102km/h), gusting to level 13.

Tomorrow day and night (November 11), the storm will continue to move southwest and continue to weaken into a tropical depression.

4:00 a.m. November 12, the center of the tropical depression over the sea from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai .

The tropical depression then moved inland in the Central Central provinces and weakened into a low pressure area over the Central Highlands.

Thus, with the current forecast, storm Yinxing is unlikely to cause strong winds above level 8 in the central mainland.

Due to the influence of storm No. 7, in the western sea area of the northern East Sea, strong winds of level 7-10, near the storm's center, level 11-14, gusts of level 17, waves 4-6m high, near the center 7-9m, rough seas.

Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
