Arrest of wanted suspect for murder hiding on fishing boat in Con Dao

On September 18, Con Dao Border Guard Station (Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard) announced that it had coordinated with Con Dao Special Zone Police to arrest a wanted suspect for murder while hiding on a fishing boat in the sea area of ​​Con Dao Special Zone, Ho Chi Minh City.

Implementing the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command to review information on the wanted subject Tran Van Phuc (born in 1989, from An Giang province, wanted decision No. 4142/QDTN-CSHS dated May 12, 2025 of the Gia Lai Provincial Police Investigation Agency), through the exchange and understanding of the situation with the Con Dao Special Zone Police force, the functional force determined that the subject was hiding, working on the fishing boat BT 92907TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Luong (born in 1977, from Ben Tre province), anchored in the Con Dao sea area, about 12 nautical miles from Ben Dam Passenger Port.

At noon on September 17, Con Dao Border Guard Station coordinated with Con Dao Special Zone Police to requisition and mobilize fishing boats of fishermen of Con Dao Special Zone to quickly move to the location of fishing boat BT 92907 TS where it was anchored, then approached and arrested Tran Van Phuc who was hiding on the boat and escorted him to shore.

Afterwards, the subject Tran Van Phuc was brought to the headquarters by the Con Dao Special Zone Police, who carried out relevant procedures to hand him over to the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
